Glasgow Community Planning Ltd (GCP Ltd) manages regeneration funds on behalf of the Partnership. The structure of this funding has recently been streamlined. The main fund is now the Fairer Scotland Fund.
GCP Ltd previously managed a series of separate funds including Community Regeneration Fund, Workforce Plus, Community Voices Fund, and More Choices More Chances. However, these have now been replaced with the single Fairer Scotland Fund.
The FSF aims to promote effective joint working and to act as a catalyst for galvanising mainstream resources and budgets with Community Planning partners to create lasting change that will benefit the most disadvantaged communities and people. The FSF is not ring-fenced with regards to the levels of funding allocated against each of the former funding streams it comprises of.
The allocation of FSF for Glasgow over the next 3 years is as follows:
2008/09 (£m) 2009/10 (£m) 2010/11 (£m)
51.014 51.491 51.969
The Fairer Scotland Fund proposals will be underpinned by the development and delivery of the Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) for Glasgow, 2008-2011. The purpose of the Single Outcome Agreement is to identify areas for improvement and to deliver better outcomes for the people of Glasgow and Scotland, through specific commitments made by Glasgow’s Community Planning Partners and Scottish Government.
The Fairer Scotland Fund proposals will outline those specific local outcomes within the SOA that will be developed by CPP partners using the FSF.
