Pollok Civic Realm
The Pollok Civic Realm involves the construction of a new facility linking the refurbished Pollok Health Centre & Leisure Centre with a new build that will house the Citizens Advice Bureau, Development Company, South West Stress Centre and Integrated Childcare Services. This will deliver a unique facility that provides one stop access to a range of complementary public services delivered by partners in the public and voluntary sectors. The Civic Realm will also provide opportunities for effective and innovative joint working through co-location of services.
A range of partners have provided funding to enable the development of this construction including Glasgow City Council, the Paul Green Charitable Trust and Pollok Stress Centre. The total contribution from the Community Regeneration Fund is £1.2m with an additional £1m previously provided by the Social Inclusion Partnership.
The building contractors started on site in November 2006 and it is anticipated that the Civic Realm will be complete by November 2007.
