The West Area covers the two Local Community Planning Partnerships (CPPs) of Drumchapel/Anniesland,Garscadden/Scotstounhill and Partick West/Hillhead, Anderston and City.

Each local CPP is represented by a Board which consists of representatives from Community Planning Partners, key local bodies, and community residents. The local CPPs have some degree of autonomy on how Community Planning is delivered within their own areas, and they are able to prioritise local activities within the overall Community Planning framework in the city.
