In December 2007, North Glasgow Community Planning Partnership commissioned the Training and Employment Research Unit at Glasgow University to conduct a labour market intelligence study. The purpose of the study was to identify emerging labour markert trends over the next 5 - 10 year period both within the North Glasgow strategic planning area and the wider city economy. The study took into account local development opportunities such as the GHA transformational regeneration areas at Red Road and Sighthill and the regeneration of the Forth and Clyde Canal as well as other major city-wide opportunities such as the Commonwealth Games and the Clyde Gateway.
The resulting report provides an overview of local labour market demand and supply issues and also details a series of recommendations which will inform future service planning arrangements and developments. To download a copy please follow the link under 'Related Pages'.
