Glasgow West News
 
The Glasgow West News (GWN) is a not for profit partnership led newspaper produced by organisations and agencies working within the West area of Glasgow.  Partners include Opportunities (the local Economic Development Company), the Community Planning Partnership, Community Health and Care Partnership (Health Board), Job Centre Plus, Fire and Rescue and Strathclyde Police.
 
The newspaper has a circulation of 70,000 in the West of Glasgow including, Scotstoun, Drumchapel, Yoker, Lincoln, Shafton, Temple, Blairdardie, Kirkton, Knightswood, Whiteinch and Drumchapel. 
 
The main purpose of the GWN is to provide local people with an opportunity to share information about activities, issues and events going on in the West of Glasgow.  We’re really interested to know what is going on in your local community and hear about anything you think will interest other local folks.  We hope that the newspaper will encourage more involvement in local community life. 
 
The partners involved also see the GWN as just one of the ways we can keep you up to date about the successful partnership working that goes on in the area and also about the work of individual organisations and agencies.  We also look forward to receiving articles and adverts from other “new” partners who would like to contribute to the newspaper.
