There are ten Local Community Planning Partnerships (LCPPs) in Glasgow. Glasgow Community Planning Ltd is organised into five area teams, each of which assists in the delivery of Community Planning across two local Community Planning Partnerships (LCPPs).

The North Area team supports the two local Community Planning Partnership structures of:

Maryhill/Kelvin & Canal ; and 
Glasgow North East  

The North Area is home to 100,000 people. It is a large and diverse area with residents experiencing varied living conditions, from those neighbourhoods experiencing multiple deprivation and poverty, to those of relative affluence. The North Area contains a mixture of traditional established neighbourhoods sitting alongside new build developments, as well as those areas that have undergone extensive physical regeneration in recent times.
