Glasgow Community Planning (GCP) Ltd supports Community Planning across Glasgow. The South West Area team are part of a complement of around 70 staff working for the company, both in a central support team and in five Area Teams located across the city. Glasgow Community Planning Ltd supports the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership by means of a Service Level Agreement.
The key functions and responsibilities of Glasgow Community Planning Ltd include:
City Wide Level
- supporting city-wide services to work together to provide better public services
- the central management of relevant programmes and funding allocations
- co-ordinating the implementation of the city's allocation of Fairer Scotland Fund investment and overseeing progress toward agreed objectives and outcomes
- developing city-wide programmes, such as those relating to worklessness and addictions
- managing the incorporated body on behalf of the Glasgow CPP including the central
- management of finance, monitoring, Human Resources, Information Technology and marketing activity
Area Wide Level
- co-ordinating Local Community Planning Partnership activity and overseeing targeted regeneration work
- managing area-based funding allocations
- facilitating joint working arrangements and joint planning among local Community Planning Partnership partners
- working with local residents and representative bodies to foster more effective community engagement within the community planning process
Local Level
- developing a Local Strategy and associated action plans in line with the main Glasgow Community Planning Partnership priorities
- managing and monitoring of local Fairer Scotland Fund investment
