Glasgow Community Planning (GCP) Ltd supports Community Planning across Glasgow. The South East Area team are part of a complement of around 70 staff working for the company, both in a central support team and in several Area Teams located across the city. GCP Ltd supports the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership by means of a Service Level Agreement. The key functions and responsibilities of GCP Ltd include:
City-Wide Level
- supporting city-wide services to work together to provide better public services
the central management of relevant programmes and funding allocations
- co-ordinating the implementation of the city's allocation of Fairer Scotland Fund investment and overseeing progress toward agreed objectives and outcomes
- developing city-wide programmes, such as those relating to worklessness and addictions
managing the incororporated body on behalf of the Glasgow CPP including the central management of finance, monitoring, HR, IT and marketing activity
Area Wide Level
- co-ordinating Local Community Planning Partnership activity and overseeing targeted regeneration work
- managing area-based funding allocations
- facilitating joint working arrangements and joint planning among local CPP partners
working with local residents and representative bodies to foster more effective community engagement within the community planning process
Local Level
- developing a Local Strategy and associated action plans in line with the main Glasgow CPP priorities
- managing and monitoring of local Fairer Scotland Fund investment
